Safety Devices Roof Racks

Safety Devices have been making the best in heavy duty roof racks for 30 years starting with all the Camel Trophy racks in the 1980’s. Our racks are made from high quality tubular and box section, electro galvanised and powdercoated steel. Currently we only offer racks to fit Land Rover models but we expect to extend the range to other makes of 4x4 by the end of 2010.  Please note we only hold a small stock of these items so you may have to wait at times of excessive demand.

 

 

Explorer series


A brand new heavy duty steel roof rack designed for the Defender 90 and 110.


The prototype is here! This is your first chance to see Safety Devices brand new Explorer roof rack! Available from July!



 

  • All Explorer racks come in two versions: either a short top rail (for side loaded tents) or a long top rail (for front or back loaded tents).

  • Racks can be fixed with a system of detachable roof bars to the rainwater gutters or with aluminium clamps directly to fit on to the majority of Safety Devices external cages.

  • Tents can be normally affixed to the rack without a floor although a marine ply non slip floor is also available.

  • The Standard pack includes a steel rack, fixing bolts and either detachable roof bars or aluminium cage feet.

  • An alternative version includes a detachable powder coated wire mesh floor and these can be bought through the Allmakes dealer network.

  • The Explorer range is interchangeable between models, so it is possible to fit the Explorer 90 to the Defender 110.

G4 Expedition

 

A heavy duty, all steel, roof rack designed for the Defender 90 and 110. This is an all in one rack with no detachable parts and a top rail which completely surrounds the rack. The rack neatly follows the profile of the roof to provide two floor levels and fixes to the rainwater gutter (this rack cannot be fitted to a vehicle where an external cage has been fitted). The standard kit includes all rainwater gutter fixings.
